About Us
Welcome to the Washington Chapter of Children’s Health Defense!
For too long, complacency among the public has allowed industry corruption and bad policies to thrive. We are putting an end to that. With you!
The Washington State chapter of Children’s Health Defense is stepping up to restore & protect health freedom and we’re not going to shut up or sit down until the job is done.
Together with YOU on our team, we will end childhood and population health epidemics by . . .
- working to expose causes;
- eliminating harmful exposures;
- holding those responsible accountable;
- seeking justice for those injured, and
- establishing safeguards to prevent future harm.
We seriously cannot do this without YOU. We need each and every one of you to JOIN US NOW. When we all take action, when we make choices in our daily lives to support health and freedom rather than feeding the monster of corruption with our purchases and choices, when we pay attention and get involved in local issues, WE take command of our great state, protecting our children, the environment, and our freedoms.
Our People
Washington Chapter Members
Yes, YOU! Success depends on each and every one of our members and volunteers putting their boots on, talking the talk and walking the walk in their everyday lives and in their communities. We build personal and community health by living healthy lives, making healthy personal choices, voting with our purchasing choices, and educating others. Powerful change happens not from the top down (although we work toward that, too), but from the grassroots up. If you’re not signed up yet, do it now! VOLUNTEER.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Founder and former Chairman of the Board
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Founder and former Chairman of the Board and Chief Legal Counsel of Children’s Health Defense, was the founder of Waterkeeper Alliance, the world’s largest clean water advocacy group, and serves as counsel to Morgan & Morgan, a nationwide personal injury practice.
Mr. Kennedy is an esteemed author, with a long list of published books including the New York Times’ bestseller, “Crimes Against Nature.” Mr. Kennedy was named one of Time magazine’s “Heroes for the Planet” for his success helping Riverkeeper lead the fight to restore the Hudson River. His reputation as a resolute defender of the environment and children’s health stems from a litany of successful legal actions. He received recognition for his role in the landmark victory against Monsanto last year, as well as in the DuPont Case that inspired the movie “Dark Waters” (2019).
Bob Runnells
Washington State Chapter Leader
Mr. Runnells has always been skeptical of the heavily-marketed promises of pharmaceutical products. But when legislation was passed based faulty data and on a contrived public health emergency in 2019, he knew he had to do something. Skepticism led to optimism when he joined with Informed Choice Washington who had just organized a huge rally with RFK Jr. in Olympia. His degrees in engineering and business risk management are not often used directly in his role, yet his experience dealing with technical subjects has allowed him to be an effective voice and organizer. He hopes you’ll be inspired to join the Children’s Health Defense mission in Washington State, where its shown you don’t need to be a scientist or doctor, just support them and share their knowledge.
Lisa Templeton
Washington State Chapter Leader
Born and raised in Washington, Lisa Templeton is a wife and mother of three. Although she earned a BA in biology in 1992, she did not become aware of the risks and myths of vaccines until 2016, as academia notoriously fails to elucidate the unintended consequences of these and other pharmaceutical products. Lisa has since become a staunch advocate of educating others on environmental dangers, wellness practices overlooked by allopathy, the importance of scientific integrity in public health policy, and the human right to informed consent to and declination of medical interventions. She is pleased to play a role in carrying out the mission of CHD’s Washington chapter.
Ron and Sue Coffman
Washington State Chapter Leaders
Sue Coffman and her husband Ron moved to Washington State in 2016. They have two adult children and two lovely granddaughters. They joined Informed Choice Washington in 2019 and are committed to medical freedom for all.
Sue’s journey toward informed medical rights began in the late 1990s working in childbirth education and as a doula, encouraging organic nutrition and pushing back against GMOs. This naturally led to concerns over vaccine safety. She realized that medical organizations were not advocating for patient rights or fully informed consent and were mainly seeking profits.
Ron joined Sue in the field of natural childbirth support. They both saw the enormous value of nutrition, chiropractic, meditation, and other natural supports during pregnancy and birth as doula and birth coaches, training parents in the Bradley Method®. In this work, they discovered even more information about patient rights, vaccines and their impact upon the world, which continues to spark their curiosity. Ron and Sue are committed to standing up for truth and freedom, and are thrilled to be involved in the “birth” of Children’s Health Defense’s newest state chapter.
