64 Healthcare Workers File Federal Lawsuit Against PeaceHealth and Washington State Governor Inslee
Update 31-Aug-23: The Schexnaydre Law Firm has amended the PeaceHealth worker complaint at the request of the judge. According to an authoring attorney, this amended version is “short and straight to the point, but it requires more homework by the judge.” They may have reduced the size of the document, but they increased the list of plaintiffs by eighteen – there are now 82.
Originally, the 148-page complaint, was filed Friday August 18th in a Washington State Federal court by 64 PeaceHealth employees against that large hospital system and Governor Inslee for ten different rights violations. It demands back wages, lost wages, punitive damages and a jury trial in an admitted effort to stop this from happening again.
The case was filed by lead attorneys from the Schexnaydre Law Firm, and local counsel Charice Holtsclaw, who present a thorough explanation of why the workers rights were violated by mandates of investigational drugs. Many who read this article are wondering why this even needs to be argued. But when this case comes to a favorable decision, it will limit employers and government offices from using coercion, even during so-called states of emergency.
Stay tuned for more info and an interview with the involved parties.
