Supreme Court ruling builds case for spurned PeaceHealth workers
In light of the US Supreme Court’s June 29, 2023, ruling in favor of postal worker Groff’s right to employer accommodation for his religious practice, Silent Majority Foundation has filed an additional brief in Zimmerman v. PeaceHealth. Zimmerman and other PeaceHealth employees were placed on indefinite administrative leave without pay for failure to take the COVID-19 shot. These employees sought and received religious exemptions, but PeaceHealth refused to accommodate them. Silent Majority Foundation is seeking injunctive relief to end the indefinite leave without pay and regain employment, as well as to obtain damages. The case is pending in US District Court, Western District of Washington.
